Unofficial results are in from yesterday’s elections.
In the City of Clinton, incumbent Patch McComas was re-elected as Ward 3 City Councilman. He defeated challenger Samantha Aispuro by getting 69% of the vote, 106-46.
Elsewhere in western Oklahoma, the Mangum School District will now be a part of a career technology center. By a vote of 248-123, voters approved the annexation of the Mangum School District that will see the community be a part of the Southwest Technology Center based in Altus. The partnership will allow high school student, and residents within the Mangum School District, to take courses at SWTC at a reduced tuition rate.
Also voters in Erick, Hydro, and Fort Cobb approved to continue a franchise agreement with Public Service Company of Oklahoma. Franchise agreements are between the city or municipality and a utility provider and are typically renewed every five to 20 years, depending on the agreement.
Caddo County voters also approved a quarter cent sales tax with 85% of county voters saying yes.
