Troopers are investigating a deadly crash that claimed the life of an Oklahoma child in Blaine County on Friday.

In a report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, emergency crews were called to an accident just south of OK-51S and 650 Road, near the community of Southard.

Investigators say the accident involved a 2011 Jeep.

According to the accident report, the driver of the Jeep was rushed to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in critical condition with various injuries.

Sadly, an 11-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

At this point, the cause of the crash and what happened is still under investigation.

In a separate accident that occurred over the weekend, an Arnett man was admitted into the hospital after being involved in a one vehicle accident in Woodward County.

Troopers say the accident occurred Sunday night just before 10:30 on OK-15, 11 miles west of Woodward, when 57-year-old Sean Daughenbaugh departed the road to the right, rolled one-half time before coming to rest on its top.

Daughenbaugh was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in stable condition.

OHP says both the condition of the driver and the cause of the crash remain under investigating.
