Candidates for municipal office in Arapaho, Butler, Custer City and Thomas Custer County municipalities file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, February 6th at the Custer County Election Board office at 633 North 6th Street, Clinton, Oklahoma.

Ann Brown, Secretary of the County Election Board, said the filing period ends at 5 p.m. Wednesday, February 8th.

Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted at the County Election Board office for the indicated offices for each of the following municipalities.

Town of Arapaho – 3 Board of Trustees, 4 year term, Town Clerk, and Town Treasurer, unexpired term.

Town of Butler – Board of Trustees, 4 year term, and Town Clerk-Treasurer, 4 year term.

Town of Custer City – 3 Board of Trustees and Town Clerk-Treasurer, 4 year term.

City of Thomas – Ward 1 and Ward 3 Council members and Mayor.

The municipal offices at stake in Arapaho, Butler, Custer City and Thomas will be filled in the nonpartisan General Election scheduled April 4, 2023. For more information, contact the Election Board office at 580-323-5124.
