Municipal Elections Form in Western Oklahoma

Races form in Western Oklahoma municipalities after declaration of candidacy wrapped up last week.

Among them, two mayoral races will take place.

In the City of Erick William Taylor will square off against Judy Mills for the mayor’s seat and in the City of Cordell Phil Kliewer and Earlene Smith have both declared their intention to run for mayor.

One city council race developed locally as well.

In the City of Sayre, Shea Whitson and Billie Cook both have declared their intention to run for the seat in ward no. 1, place 1.

The municipal election will take place on April 4.
