Shooting Victim Found in Clinton

A call in reference to a suspicious person early Saturday morning led Clinton police to the discovery of a man with a gunshot wound.

Officials say the call came in just before 4 a.m. Saturday where police were dispatched to the area of the 1600 block of Deputy Drive in a neighborhood on the south side of the city. Police said that the called told dispatch that the were as man on her front porch who had been shot and was bleeding from the leg.

When police arrived they found the man with the wound, who was quickly taken by ambulance to OU Medical Canter in Oklahoma City.

Police said they have no information yet on the cause of the shooting.

No suspects have been named.

The condition or the identity of the victim has not been released either.
