Erick Man Hospitalized After Wreck in Cheyenne

An Erick man was hospitalized Tuesday evening after being involved in a single vehicle accident in Cheyenne.

According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the 100 block of LL Males Avenue in Cheyenne when the 2002 Chevrolet S10 driven by 18-year-old Prestan B. Fleming of Erick departed the road to the right and collided with an embankment.

Troopers said as a result a passenger in the pickup, 20-year-old Eliah W. Melton of Erick was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in stable condition with trunk external injuries.

OHP said the driver was uninjured in the crash and that both occupants were not wearing seat belts.
