The two hospitals in Custer County have requested ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funding from county commissioners.

The presentations and requests came during the regular weekly meeting of the Custer County Commission on Monday.

One request came from officials with the Clinton Regional Hospital. They intend to use ARPA funds for a roof replacement project that will cost an estimated $43,960.

Another request was from the Weatherford Regional Hospital to upgrade the hospital’s security system – which would replace the current system that has been in use since the building’s construction in 2007.

An estimated price tag for that project came in at $39,575.

No approval for either project was made with commissioners stating that they would have to see if the projects fall under ARPA requirements.
