Authorities are investigating a stolen vehicle that occurred over the weekend.

Beckham County Sheriff Derek Manning said although the vehicle was not stolen out of the county, the office’s K9 unit was requested on Sunday to help search the area where they suspected the vehicle may have been.

Manning said it is suspected that the vehicle’s GPS device had been taken out of the vehicle and dumped at the location.

He said as of Monday morning, the stolen vehicle has not been located and there have been no arrests.

Manning added that the office’s K9 unit has turned into a valuable tool for not just the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office, but other neighboring departments as it has been requested for use on multiple occasions.
