Elk City Leadership HOF Inductees Announced

The newest members of the Elk City Chamber of Commerce Leadership Hall of Fame were announced recently and will be inducted during an upcoming Elk City High School basketball game.

Those to be inducted this year will be the late Bill Ansley who graduated from Elk City and would later become the longtime advertising manager of the Elk City Daily News, the late Bill Khourie who, after a career in aeronautics, would later become the Director of the Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority, and longtime Elk City Coach Danny McClure who has been a part of multiple successful sports programs in the Elk City School district that includes the school’s runner-up and state football championships in 1997 and 1998.

The trio will be honored next Tuesday with a reception from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Elk City Pioneer Center Hospitality Center. The induction will take place between the Elkettes and Elks basketball games.
