An Erick family received a scare on Christmas Eve says Sheriff Derek Manning.
He said he assisted deputies in deescalating a domestic situation where a man allegedly threatened his ex-girlfriend and her family with a hatchet. Manning said the threats came via text messages, where the man allegedly said he was going to kill her, and her family. The Sheriff said his department was able to ping the suspect’s cell phone where it showed that he was en route to the home from Oklahoma City.
Arrested was 40-year-old Bodie Keith Hoover. He would later receive a felony charge of conspire to perform an act of violence and second degree burglary.
Bond was initially denied.
