Last week was the deadline for state lawmakers to file bills that could possibly be considered during the upcoming legislative session.
District 55 Representative Nick Archer (R-Elk City), who is preparing for his second legislative session, says one of his most important bills is HB 3424 which would create a program similar to Elk City’s CAPPs program on a statewide level.
Archer said HB 3424 would not require a new or additional tax, but will see current sales tax dollars reapportioned.
The 2nd Session of the 59th Legislature is scheduled to begin on February 5, however a special session called by Governor Stitt will begin on Monday.
