Elk City Public Schools has been selected to take part in a leadership program that, according to Superintendent Mike Sparks, will create more opportunities for the school district to build on success and continue to offer educational opportunities for students.
Sparks said the Leverage Leadership Institute Fellowship reached out to the school about the partnership that will begin this summer.
Sparks says the program, that only works with 25 schools nationally per year, is fully funded and will not cost the district money.
He says teachers will begin workshops with the group this summer and will continue to work with them throughout the year.
