Beckham County Sheriff Derek Manning reminds the public that there’s an easy way to show your appreciation to Beckham County dispatchers with this week being National Telecommunications and Communicators Week.

He says simply go to the Sheriff Office’s Facebook page and “adopt” a dispatcher.

Manning credits all of his dispatchers for being more than someone who answers the phones. He says with the use of various technologies, including social media, his dispatchers have become more proactive in directing authorities to locations and also keeping them safe.
