Clinton Man Wanted After Allegedly Falsifying Convictions

A Clinton man is wanted in Beckham County after being charged with unlawful actions related to licensed dealers and private sellers of firearms after allegedly attempting to obtain firearms after being convicted of various felonies in other counties.

According to court records, an arrest warrant was issued on April 18 after 65-year-old Michael Zane Siler was charged with the felony on April 15.

A probable cause affidavit showed that Siler falsified his convictions on an application to purchase two firearms at an Elk City pawn shop.

Elk City police were notified by the National Crime Center of the possible crime which lead to the investigation.

Records show Siler had been convicted multiple times in domestic violence cases in the state.
