More Tornadoes Strike Western Oklahoma

Oklahoma saw another round of tornadoes late Sunday afternoon and well into the evening.

One massive storm that produced multiple tornadoes developed in western Oklahoma, and according to officials, damaged buildings and left multiple people injured.

The first was a brief tornado in Roger Mills County, and the next was a much larger tornado that developed east of Butler and traveled near Custer City.

According to our weather partners at KOCO, The Blaine County Sheriff’s office said two people were injured after their home in Hydro was destroyed. They were taken to a local hospital, but their condition is unknown. As of Monday morning, the town was also without power.

Custer County Emergency Management says 10-15 homes were damaged between Custer City and Hydro. Homes also were damaged in Butler, where two people were injured.

The full extent of the damage and injuries is unknown as of early Monday morning, but authorities have not reported any deaths.
