Primary Election This Tuesday

Oklahomans will head to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots in the primary election.

It’ll be a busy day at the polls in western Oklahoma as well.

Starting in Beckham County, Wes Henry is challenging incumbent Derek Manning for the Sheriff’s position.

In Washita County, Kevin Rozell and Russell Stewart are both running for Sheriff. For County Assessor, Rusty Bookout and Sue Fletcher will face each other for the position. Angie Strobel and Kristen Dowell are both running for County Clerk, and Leo Goeringer and David Gray will be running for County Commissioner in District No. 2.

In Roger Mills County Darren Atha has challenged Brian Smith for the Sheriff’s job.

Statewide races include Cody Anderson and Casey Murdock running for District 27 in the State Senate.

District 27 includes parts of Ellis, Dewey, and Roger Mills Counties.

Three candidates are running for corporation commissioner. Those include Brian Bingman, Russell Ray, and Justin Hornback and Frank Lucas is being challenged by Robin Lynn Carder and Darren Hamilton for his United States Representative District 3 seat.

Polls will be open tomorrow from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
