Two women pulled over in Beckham County late last month have been charged after being found with a large amount of cocaine.

Court records show 32-year-old Torianna Lashay Winfield of Detroit, Michigan along with 32-year-old Simone Lnise Miller of Euless, Texas were both charged on June 25 after being arrested by Beckham County Deputies during the traffic stop on Interstate 40.

A probable cause affidavit showed that the duo were pulled over for speeding and it was discovered that the driver, Winfield, was driving with a suspended license. During the arresting process for that violation, deputies discovered two suitcases in the car that contained several vacuum sealed bags of cocaine that weighed 74 pounds.

Winfield was charged with aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs and driving with a suspended license, while Miller was charged with aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs.

If convicted, both could be fined up to $500,000 each along with at least 20 years in prison.
