NFEC’s Annual Meeting This Saturday

Northfork Electric Cooperative’s 85th Annual Meeting will take place on Saturday at the Sayre Municipal Park Pavilion. Registration starts at 9 a.m., where attendees will receive an NFEC cap and a paring knife. Enter via the northeast entrance marked by the NFEC bucket truck, and drive-thru registration will be at the RV park entrance.

Entertainment will be provided by the Sons of the Sage from 9 to 10 a.m. The business meeting, led by board president Jimmy Taylor, will follow, featuring trustee elections for districts six and seven and proposed bylaw amendments. Members can review the proposed bylaws at NFEC headquarters or online and will vote during registration.

Door prizes include bicycles, Apple AirPods, a John Deere mower, cash, and more, with winners announced after the business meeting. Health screenings and a blood drive will be available, with appointments for blood donation recommended. Activities include free swimming, an inflatable slide, and miniature golf. A barbecue meal catered by Blue Mountain Smoke will be served by the Red Knights.

A Vendor Fair, organized by the Dust Bowl Days Festival Planning Committee, will also be held. Members should bring their registration card and photo ID. For more details, visit NFEC’s Facebook page.
