New Sponsorship Also Benefits SWOSU Football; Soccer; & Men’s & Women’s Basketball
Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas benefiting SWOSU Athletics for the 2024-2025 season.
The people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas will serve as the title sponsor for SWOSU Volleyball for the 2024-25 season. Additionally, the people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas will also provide additional sponsorship support for SWOSU football, SWOSU soccer, and SWOSU men’s and women’s basketball for the academic year.
“This is the first time the people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas have branched out into sponsoring Division II athletics in Oklahoma,” said SWOSU Athletic Director Todd Helton. “The people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas selected just a few universities to partner with this season and we are very happy and deeply grateful that SWOSU is one of them.”
The people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas was founded in 1993 by the state legislature at the request of the oil and natural gas industry. The purpose of the people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas is to demonstrate to the general public the importance of the Oklahoma oil and natural gas exploration and production industry, to encourage the wise and efficient use of energy, to promote environmentally sound production methods and technologies, to develop existing supplies of Oklahoma’s oil and natural gas resources, to support research and educational activities concerning the oil and natural gas exploration and production industry and to cause remediation of historical oilfield environmental problems. Since 1993, the people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas have cleaned more than 20,000 historic well sites at no cost to landowners and have provided millions of dollars of free classroom equipment to Oklahoma’s schools. The people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas remain the gold standard for voluntarily supported oil and natural gas programs nationwide. To learn more, visit www.OERB.com.
