The Elk City Commission is set to convene on Wednesday afternoon in the Commission Chambers at City Hall. The agenda includes several significant topics, including going into an executive session to discuss the performance evaluation of City Manager Tom Ivester. Any resulting action will be considered after the session concludes.
Other items the Commission will discuss and consider include revisiting the issue of a dilapidated building in the 1000 block of W. 8th Street. The issue had previously been tabled in both July and September. The Commission will decide whether to declare the property a public safety hazard.
The Commission will also consider Mayor Spieker’s recommendation to appoint Sierra Alvarez and Karen Stout to the Elk City Library Board. Their terms would run from November 2024 to 2027, pending approval.
Wednesday’s meeting is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM.
