
Jackson County, OK – A tragic two-vehicle collision claimed the lives of three individuals and left another in critical condition Thursday afternoon near the intersection of US-62 and South County Road 194, approximately three miles east of Duke.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 3:47 p.m. and involved a 2021 Ford Expedition and a 2018 Ford Focus. The driver of the Expedition has not yet been identified, and details regarding their condition remain unavailable.
The Ford Focus was driven by 36-year-old Landreth J. Emswiler of Mountain Park who was pronounced dead at the scene. Also in the vehicle were three juvenile passengers, all from Mountain Park.
A 17-year-old female passenger and an 11-year-old female passenger were also pronounced deceased at the scene. Their names have been withheld.
An 8-year-old male passenger was transported by Survival Flight to United Regional Medical Center in Wichita Falls, Texas where he was admitted in critical condition with internal injuries.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Authorities have not released further details regarding contributing factors.
