Weatherford, OK – The Department of Allied Health Sciences at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) recently hosted its 3rd annual Anatomage Tournament on Friday, Feb. 7, bringing together 48 teams from 24 high schools and technology centers across Oklahoma and one school in Texas. The competition challenged students to demonstrate their teamwork, anatomical knowledge, and problem-solving abilities. At the end of the event, the top three teams were awarded scholarships in recognition for their achievements.
The tournament required students to identify anatomical structures across systems such as cardiovascular, digestive, muscular, and skeletal. Teams progressed through rounds that increased in difficulty, challenging their technical knowledge and collaborative abilities.
The top three teams, all from Francis Tuttle Technology Center, achieved the following placements:

Peter’s Puppies: 1st place

Mighty Ducklings: 2nd place

Dim Sum Dynasty: 3rd place
Each member for the 1st-place team received a $2,000 scholarship, and the team won an Anatomage Tablet, a portable device that allows users to explore human anatomy with precision. Second-place team members were awarded $1,000 scholarships and an Anatomage Tablet. Dim Sum Dynasty earned third place, completing the top three teams, all of which qualified for the National Anatomage Tournament. Last year’s top three teams achieved recognition, with Oklahoma Bible Academy earning second place in the National Anatomage Competition after competing at SWOSU, and Weatherford High School finishing 33rd.
SWOSU’s Allied Health Sciences Department plays a significant role in preparing future healthcare professionals, and events like the Anatomage Tournament encourage high school students to work with innovative tools and explore their interests in the field.
