The Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) will conduct a blood drive at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford on Monday and Tuesday, November 16-17, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The “Give Thanks” blood drive will feature a new option, welcoming convalescent plasma donations.
The drive will be held at the SWOSU Wellness Center.
All donations will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies to identify potential convalescent plasma donors. If a donor has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and recovered, that donor could be eligible to donate. All donors can receive a free COVID-19 antibody test but must be at least 18 years old to receive the test.
Donors will receive a vintage t-shirt and a limited-edition blood donor mask.
OBI Account Consultant Melissa Santoro said appointments are encouraged to help with
flow and social distancing by calling 1-877-340-8777 or visiting obi.org. Signup is also available at:
