Altus Woman Arrested for Thanksgiving Homicide

An arrest has been made in connection with a homicide investigation in Altus.

The Altus Police Department reports that 52-year-old Tammy Lockman has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder after a deadly incident on Thanksgiving in the 2800 block of Shiloh Lane.

Last Thursday, police and firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at the scene. Once the fire was extinguished, first responders discovered a deceased individual inside the vehicle.

The identity of the deceased has been turned over to the medical examiner’s office for confirmation.
