The Elk City Police Department has announced the arrest of the suspect wanted in a burglary case.

According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, 34-year-old Bryan Lee Pfeil turned himself into authorities Wednesday night without incident and has been booked into the Beckham County Jail on various charges including knowingly concealing stolen property and possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction.

The investigation began late last month when police said a burglary occurred at a home on McArthur Boulevard in Elk City.

Later during the investigation into the crime, conducted multiple search warrants on Pfeil’s residence and multiple storage units that he had in Elk City, and were able to recover some stolen property but now say some stolen property has yet to be recovered.

Police ask that if anyone knows the whereabouts or have any of the stolen items to come forward and contact the Elk City Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 580-225-1212.

ECPD officials added that they wanted to thank the District II District Attorney’s Investigator, U.S. Marshal’s Office, the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and the FBI for their assistance in the search for the defendant and with the help to recover some of the stolen items.

Initial bond for Pheil was set at $30,000.

A court date is pending.
