Cheyenne, OK – Candidates interested in filing for municipal office in 2 Roger Mills County municipalities will file Declarations of Candidacy beginning 8 a.m. Monday, Februrary 3rd.
Kelly Tice, Secretary of the Roger Mills County Election Board, said Declaration of Candidacy forms must be completed and submitted to the County Election Board no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, February 5th, 2025 when the filing period ends. Tice reminds voters that Contests of Candidacy must be filed no later than 5 p.m. Friday, February 7th and may only be filed by another candidate for that office, unless a candidate files unopposed.
Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted for the following offices:
Town of Cheyenne (1A)
Ward 1 Trustee, 4 year term
Ward 2 Trustee, 2 year term (unexpired)
Ward 3 Trustee, 2 year term (unexpired)
Town of Hammon (1B)
3 Trustees, 4 year term
2 Trustees, 2 year term (unexpired)

The Roger Mills County Election Board is located at 500 E. Broadway, Ave., Cheyenne, Ok and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
