
Hammon, OK — The town of Hammon is gearing up for a packed weekend of family fun during the annual Cheyenne-Arapaho Pioneer Days, set for April 18–19, 2025.
The celebration kicks off Friday morning with a half marathon and 5K fun run at 7:45 a.m., followed by a gospel singing event at 10:00 a.m. At 12:00 p.m., guests can enjoy a free BBQ at the park, and starting at 2:00 p.m., a craft show, blacksmithing exhibition, and flea market open to the public. The day wraps up with the 3-in-1 Ranch Rodeo at 5:00 p.m. at Pete Dean Arena, followed by fireworks at 9:00 p.m. in downtown Hammon.
Saturday’s lineup begins bright and early with a pancake breakfast at 7:00 a.m., and continues with a parade down Main Street at 10:30 a.m. featuring floats, local entries, and more. A free carnival runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., alongside craft booths, a car show, and a cornhole tournament. Families can check out the forging exhibition, and youth are invited to the kids games starting at 1:00 p.m..
The event wraps up with a firehouse dance featuring live music from the Washita River Boys at 9:30 p.m.
Pioneer Days is a proud tradition honoring the history and heritage of the Cheyenne-Arapaho people and the spirit of the Old West. Organizers invite everyone from across western Oklahoma to attend.
