Clinton, OK – A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Clinton man, on charges of first-degree burglary, violation of a protective order, and assault and battery with a sharp weapon with intent to injure.
According to a probable cause affidavit, around 1:22 a.m. on Dec. 26, law enforcement was dispatched to a residence in response to a report of a physical domestic dispute. Prior to arrival, officers were informed of a possible stabbing.
Upon arrival, the resident reported that 50-year-old Orlando Williams had allegedly attempted to break into her home by forcing the door open with a pry bar after being told to leave. The resident, who has a protective order against Williams, claimed he then forced his way inside and began fighting with a male guest at the residence. She alleged that Williams appeared to have stabbed the guest during the altercation, as she saw something in his hand, and the guest started bleeding.
Officers observed signs of a struggle in the residence, including overturned furniture, scattered items, and blood on the floor. A knife in a closed position and a pry bar were found at the scene. Damage to the front door and a blood-stained beanie, allegedly identified as Williams’, were also noted. Both Williams and the victim had left the scene before officers arrived.
The resident later communicated with the victim by phone, but he was reportedly upset that authorities had been informed. The resident became uncooperative and stated the victim would not speak to law enforcement.
Later that day, a follow-up visit was made to Williams’ listed residence, but he was not present. A business card was left with instructions for Williams to make contact. Around 1:36 p.m., Williams called and claimed that earlier, while driving, the victim allegedly shot at him several times before running into the residence. Williams admitted to entering the home to confront the victim, which led to a physical altercation, but denied stabbing him.
The report indicates no gunshots were reported in the area, and a search of the roadway revealed no shell casings. Attempts to contact the victim were unsuccessful, though his mother stated she had seen him later that morning and noted he seemed unharmed without visible stab wounds.
The warrant for Williams’ arrest remains active, and he faces charges related to the incident.
