Roger Mills County, OK – Roger Mills County voters who plan to vote absentee in the April 1st Board of Education and Municipal General Election should submit their requests as soon as possible, according to County Election Board Secretary Kelly Tice.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 5 p.m. on Monday, March 17th. Voters can apply through the OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp or pick up a request form at the County Election Board office at 500 E. Broadway Ave., Cheyenne, OK.

Tice urges voters to allow ample time for their ballots to be mailed, completed, and returned. Most absentee ballots require notarization before submission. However, voters who are physically incapacitated or caring for someone who is, may have their ballots witnessed by two individuals instead of notarized.

Military personnel, overseas residents, and their dependents are also eligible for absentee voting allowances. They can request ballots through the OK Voter Portal or obtain applications at military installations, U.S. Embassies, or Consulates. Those needing to register can do so through the Federal Voting Assistance Program at FVAP.gov.

All completed absentee ballots must be received by the County Election Board by 7 p.m. on Election Day, April 1st.
