Elk City, OK – Elk City residents can take advantage of free dumping at the Elk City Municipal Landfill from Monday, April 28 through Saturday, May 3, 2025, as part of the city’s annual spring cleanup effort.
To participate, residents must show a current Elk City water bill. Only residential waste is accepted for free—roofing, remodeling, and commercial materials are not eligible. All loads must be secured with tarps, ties, or bags, and commercial accounts do not qualify.
This year, the city will accept vehicle tires only, with specific restrictions. Tires must not be on rims and must be 20 inches or smaller. Industrial or agricultural tires, such as those from tractors or heavy equipment, will not be accepted. A current water bill is also required for tire disposal.
For those unable to haul items themselves, curbside pickup will be available the following week, from Monday, May 5 through Friday, May 9. Elk City residents may schedule pickup of up to two items per household by calling 580-225-1414 before 5 p.m. on Friday, May 9.
