Elk City’s Fire Department is a combination department with 28 career firefighters and 20 volunteers, responding to nearly 3,000 emergency calls per year. They’re seeking someone who is community-minded and ready to serve in a fast-paced, progressive environment.
What They’re Looking For:

Age: 18–44

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid Oklahoma driver’s license

Ability to pass a background check

Must obtain IFSAC Firefighter I and EMT certification within 1 year of hire

Applicants will complete a physical agility test (including a 1.5-mile run under 13 minutes and strength testing) and a written exam
