An Elk City man received a lengthy prison sentence recently after being convicted of producing and possessing child pornography.

38-year-old Timothy Steven Blaylock Junior was sentenced to 40 years in federal prison followed by supervision for life after being convicted of the crimes.

Blaylock was arrested on July 28, 2023 at an Elk City home after an investigation led authorities to discover Blaylock had produced pornography with two children and was also in possession of child pornography.

The investigation into Blaylock began days earlier when an undercover FBI agent posing as a mother of a 12-year-old girl began communicating with Blaylock through an online messaging service, which included Blaylock sharing inappropriate videos of him with minors with the undercover agent.

At one point, Elk City Police Detectives were told that Blaylock was online at the time, and the FBI had reason to believe that an assault of a child was imminent. ECPD formed an entry team and made entry into the residence, detaining the suspect and secured the scene.

Blaylock was formally charged with production of child pornography involving two victims and possession of child pornography on November 17, 2023. Ten days later Blaylock pleaded guilty and admitted to sexually abusing two minors multiple times. He admitted to filming the abuse with his phone, between March 2021 and July 2023. He also admitted to possessing other child pornography on his phone.
