A single vehicle wreck in Washita County late Friday night injured a Fort Cobb teenager.

The accident occurred while the youth was being pursued by law enforcement.

According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred on OK-152, 4 miles south of Colony when a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 17-year-old male over-corrected and departed the road to the right, went through a fence, and rolled approximately 4 times. The accident occurred while the teen was being pursued by officials with the Caddo County Sheriff’s Office.

As a result of the crash, the driver was partially ejected and pinned underneath the vehicle for approximately 35 minutes before being freed by crews with the Eakly Fire Department.

The teen was transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in good condition with trunk external, arm, and leg injuries.

A passenger in the vehicle, another 17-year-old male from Fort Cobb, was not injured.

The names of the juveniles were not released due to their age.

The report did not say as to why the youth were fleeing law enforcement.
