Local Sheriff Wants to Hire One More SRO

The Beckham County Sheriff says he would like to hire one more school resource officer for the county.

Sheriff Derek Manning says the county currently has two officers but says with the state re-appropriating dollars towards school safety, he says he would like to hire one more SRO in the near future.

Manning said anyone interested in applying to become a school resource officer to contact the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office or simply clicking the “join our team” button on the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office app.
