Man Wanted For Murder of Weatherford Resident

A man is wanted for murder in the homicide case that developed over the weekend in Weatherford.

Detectives have been able to obtain an arrest warrant for the suspect, 20-year-old Rodolfo Sotelo for the charge of Murder in the First Degree.

The incident occurred on Saturday night when at 11 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 200 block of North Bradley in reference to a fight in progress and one of the individuals may have a knife. Upon arrival, officers could not locate a disturbance. After searching the area and speaking with individuals, officers proceeded to an apartment complex where they located a male victim, who was bleeding. Officers made entry to render aid, however the man was deceased.

Weatherford P.D. identified the victim as 33-year-old Weatherford resident Giddel Alfedro Leyva Sotelo.

Police say the wanted suspect, Rodolfo Sotelo, is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’8” to 5’9” inches tall, approximately 170 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on his right forearm.

Officials said that they are not looking for any additional suspects in this case and that the incident appears to be a domestic related incident between family members.

Police said if anyone has seen the suspect or knows of his whereabouts, they are asked to call 911 or your local police department.
