Weatherford, OK – The annual Southwestern Oklahoma State University Interscholastic Meet (SWIM), the longest-running academic competition in Oklahoma, was held on March 27, 2025, at SWOSU in Weatherford. Established in 1913, SWIM has provided generations of students with the opportunity to test their knowledge, challenge themselves, and represent their schools in a university setting.
Students from fifty-six schools participated in this year’s competition, with students taking more than 1,000 exams in a wide range of subjects, with individual and school awards recognizing outstanding performances. The competition highlights academic excellence and encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and intellectual growth, skills that benefit students far beyond the competition.
The highest honors of the competition, the Sweepstakes Awards, recognize schools with the strongest overall performance. This year’s sweepstakes winners are the following:

Class I (600+ students, grades 9–12): Southmoore High School

Class II (151–599 students): Kingfisher High School

Class III (150 or fewer students): Corn Bible Academy

For over a century, SWIM has given students the opportunity to test their knowledge, compete in a university, and gain confidence in their academic abilities. The event recognizes hard work and talent across multiple subjects, encouraging students to push themselves and take pride in their achievements. Beyond the competition, SWIM helps students prepare for future academic and career success by strengthening critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
