Power Outage Affects 740 Beckham County Residents Due to Storms

1-968

Beckham County, Oklahoma — Severe storms have left 740 Beckham County residents without electricity, affecting approximately 6.7% of the county’s total customers. The outage, first reported earlier today, is expected to last as utility crews work to restore power amid challenging weather conditions.

The storm has impacted several utility providers across the area:

• CKenergy Electric Cooperative reports 5 of their 27,482 tracked customers are affected.

• Northfork Electric Cooperative has 21 of their 4,051 tracked customers impacted.

• Public Service Company of Oklahoma is reporting a broader issue, with 880 of their 569,875 tracked customers currently without power.

Forecasts predict that stormy weather may continue through Sunday, with intermittent rain and wind gusts likely complicating restoration efforts. Conditions are expected to improve gradually by late Sunday, giving utility crews a clearer window to resolve remaining outages.

Residents are advised to stay informed of any updates and to take necessary precautions until the weather clears and power is fully restored.
