Primary Election Results for Cordell and Altus

The primary election for Cordell Public Schools and the City of Altus city council races have concluded, with results now finalized.

The race for Office No. 5 on the Cordell School Board has narrowed down to two candidates after Dale Selman received 47% of the vote and Randi Hunter garnered 29% of the vote.

The general election for the seat will occur on April 1.

Elsewhere, in the race for Altus City Council’s Ward No. 1 seat, Jonathan Eric Bergmark emerged victorious with 90 votes (86.54%), significantly outpacing opponent Dillon Feazel, who secured only 14 votes (13.46%). The total number of votes cast in the race was 104.

Also in Altus, the competition for Ward No. 3 was more divided. Malcolm Dash won with 44 votes (63.77%), defeating CJ Morris, who received 20 votes (28.99%), and Terrence Filer, who trailed behind with 5 votes (7.25%). A total of 69 ballots were cast in this race.
