Sayre, OK — A Sayre woman is facing felony charges after allegedly using an elderly woman’s credit card information to make unauthorized transactions totaling $125.
According to an affidavit filed in Beckham County, 24-year-old Abbagail Marie Lingle has been issued a felony arrest warrant for two charges: unauthorized use of a credit/debit card and obtaining financial information by false statement.
The charges stem from an incident reported on February 23, 2025, when an elderly Sayre resident contacted local authorities. The woman claimed that Lingle and her boyfriend, the woman’s grandson, had been staying at her residence and refused to leave after several weeks. The woman initially allowed the couple to stay temporarily while awaiting a ride, but they allegedly returned after briefly leaving.
The situation escalated when the woman discovered that her credit card had been used without her consent. She told police that Lingle transferred $25 and $100 to herself via PayPal using the woman’s card. When confronted, Lingle denied the accusations.
The victim provided banking documentation to support the allegations and said she has been trying to remove the couple from her residence, where they allegedly continue to reside against her wishes.
Lingle’s bond has been set at $2,500.
