Mountain Park, OK – On March 14, 2025, the Mountain Park Police Department requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate a homicide.
Around 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call at a residence off State Highway 183 in Mountain Park. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered 63-year-old Sandy Killian deceased. It was determined he had suffered from an apparent gunshot wound.
During the investigation, OSBI special agents processed the scene and identified the suspect as 52-year-old Chad Carl Cummings.
Special agents obtained a search warrant for Cummings residence and located an adult female locked in a back room. That individual fortunately did not sustain any injuries and was recovered safely. Based on the information and evidence gathered, Cummings was arrested and booked into the Kiowa County Jail on charges of First-Degree Murder and Kidnapping.
This is still an ongoing investigation. The OSBI would like to thank the Mountain Park Police Department, Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office, Washita County Sheriff’s Office, Snyder Police Department, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for their assistance with this investigation.
