Weatherford, OK – Dr. Sarah Yount and Dr. Hardeep S. Saluja from the SWOSU College of Pharmacy participated in the KLE International Pharm D Colloquium. The event was jointly hosted by KLE College of Pharmacy, Belagavi, and the American Association of Indian Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAiPS).

Dr. Sarah Yount, Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, presented on Thinking Outside the Pill Box: Collaborative Care Models to Improve Patient Outcomes.” She emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in patient care and the evolving role of pharmacists in healthcare teams. Dr. Yount also participated in an interactive panel discussion on PharmD professionals as healthcare leaders, where she shared her expertise on the future of pharmacy practice.

Dr. Hardeep S. Saluja, Chair and Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at SWOSU, delivered an online presentation titled Pills, Skills, and Thrills: The Evolution and Revolution of Pharmacy Education.” His talk provided insightful perspectives on advancements in pharmacy education and professional training. Dr. Saluja, who is also serving as the President of AAiPS, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to connect with international students and professionals and to contribute to global discussions on pharmacy education.

More than 800 students, faculty, and distinguished guests attended the event. In recognition of their contributions, Dr. Yount and Dr. Saluja were honored with mementos from KLE College of Pharmacy.
