Train Derails Near Lone Wolf; No Injuries Reported

Crews responded to a train derailment Wednesday near Lone Wolf in southwestern Oklahoma.

Officials from the Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies were dispatched to the derailment on State Highway 44, south of Lone Wolf. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the derailment remains unknown.

Authorities noted that Farmrail will handle the cleanup in the coming days. Travelers on State Highway 44 are advised to be cautious of equipment in the area.
