Outstanding warrants were issued for the arrest of two Clinton residents after they allegedly attempted to break into a home in April.

According to court records, both 41-year-old Juanita Pauline Chapman and 41-year-old Jesse Michael Freudenberger were both charged recently with attempted 1st degree burglary, a felony, after the incident that took place on the evening of April 26 at a home in the 900 block of Modelle Avenue.

A probable cause affidavit showed, that’s when Clinton police were dispatched to the home on a call of alleged threats made to the homeowner by both Champman and Freudenberger. When police arrived they would find the defendants in the front lawn where they were quickly detained.

The homeowner would tell police that the two were upset and had attempted to break down the front door to gain entry. The man also told police that he allegedly saw Freudenberger holding a knife.

After speaking with the pair, Chapman would allegedly confess to attempting to break the door down.
