UPDATE: Chase Suspect Arrested in OKC

Authorities announced Tuesday night that the search for the man who led multiple jurisdictions on a high speed pursuit Sunday night has ended after being arrested in Oklahoma City.

According to Beckham County Sheriff Derek Manning, 20-year-old Syed Mohammed Zeeshan of Newark, Delaware was arrested without incident at Will Rogers World Airport while attempted to board a plane to New York City.

Manning said a break in the case came when a local transport service positively identified the suspect they picked up south of Carter a few hours after Texas deputies lost contact with the vehicle in Greer County on Sunday night.

The driver said she took the suspect and a woman to Oklahoma City, not knowing the pair were being sought by authorities.

Manning said Oklahoma City Police were notified along with the FBI.

Manning said the female passenger was interviewed and released.

He also said it is unclear how Zeeshan came into possession of the stolen vehicle, stating that it was reported stolen out of Los Angeles, California.

Zeeshan has multiple warrants for his arrest out of Greer, Beckham County, and Wheeler County, Texas.

Court records show he’s facing eluding and possession of a stolen vehicle charges.
