
Weatherford, OK — The Weatherford Environment Group (WEG) has announced a month-long slate of Earth Day recycling events happening throughout April 2025. Residents are encouraged to participate by bringing recyclable materials to the Weatherford Materials Processing Building, located at 602 E. Clark Street (two blocks south of Main on Illinois).
Special Emphasis Items – Accepted April 1–30, 2025
WEG will accept tires of all sizes throughout the month—motorcycle, lawn mower, ATV, car, pickup, semi, and ag—via the flatbed trailer set up at the facility. Note: No tracks, foam-filled tires, or rims will be accepted.
One-Day Recycling Event – April 12, 2025 (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.)
On Saturday, April 12, Weatherford residents can drive through the Materials Processing & Education Center for a special one-day collection of:

Drug Take Back (in partnership with SWODA): Accepting pills, tablets, capsules, patches, and liquids in containers.
? No nuclear meds, aerosols, auto-injectors, or syringes. -

These events are volunteer-led and organized by Weatherford citizens—not a function of the City of Weatherford. WEG’s mission is to keep the city green, clean, and beautiful.
