Weatherford Man Charged with Soliciting Sexual Conduct with a Minor

A Weatherford man faces a felony charge of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor via technology.

According to court documents, 22-year-old Damien Jesus Garcia was charged in Custer County District Court on November 6. He allegedly used technology to communicate with a minor for sexual purposes. The incident reportedly occurred on November 3, with Garcia accused of unlawfully engaging in communication intended to facilitate or encourage sexual conduct with the minor.

If convicted, Garcia could face up to 10 years in prison, a fine of up to $10,000, or both. A preliminary hearing conference is scheduled for December 13. Garcia is currently held on a bond set at $20,000.
