Butler Duo Perish in Custer Co. Crash

Two people from Butler have died after being involved in a single vehicle accident in Custer County Monday night.

According the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. on OK-33, 2.5 miles east of Butler and involved a 2007 Ford Expedition driven by 35-year-old Deedra K. Collins and a passenger, 45-year-old Chad B. Collins both of Butler.

Troopers said as a result Deedra Collins was first taken to Great Plains Regional Medical Center before being transferred to Integris Health Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon where she was pronounced deceased.

The passenger, Chad Collins, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

OHP said both the condition of the driver and the cause of the collision are under investigation.
