Clinton City Council to Consider Deferring Water Rate Increase

The Clinton City Council is scheduled to meet in regular session tonight (Tuesday) for the final time this calendar year.

Highlights on the agenda include the council to consider a grant application submitted to the Industrial Authority for $5,000 to be used towards an event titled the “Clinton Classic Run” and wellness fair that would take place in June.

While acting as the Public Works Authority, the council will consider to defer a water rate increase until January 1, 2023.

During the city council portion of the meeting, the council will receive and consider the latest audit report for fiscal year ending 2021 from Britton, Kuykendall, and Miller CPAs.

Tonight’s meeting in Clinton City Hall is scheduled to start at 5:30.
