A Clinton woman is wanted in Custer County after being charged with aggravated assault and battery.

57-year-old Cassandra Genell Lister is accused of assaulting a man with cancer.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the incident was reported on March 6 when the victim told police that while at a Clinton residence, he had fallen on the living room floor due to his health issues stemming from pancreatic cancer. While attempting to get up and leave the room, the man said Lister allegedly grabbed him by his neck and drug him back to the living room.

Once back in the room, the man said Lister then allegedly began to kick him in the ribs, stomped on his side, and had hit him on the head with an object.

The assault continued until the son intervened.

The affidavit stated that the reporting officer noted that the victim had scrapes and cuts on his legs and an injury to his head.

As of press time Lister has not been located or arrested.

Court records show a protective order was also filed against Lister.

Initial bond was set at $20,000.

A court date is pending her arrest.
