The Elk City Commission is scheduled to meet for their mid-month meeting on Wednesday (Feb. 16).

Items the Commission will discuss and consider include the annual audit of the city for fiscal year 2020-2021 presented by FSW&B CPA’s, and a quote received for the installation of the train track at Ackley Park in the amount of $28,000.

It is also expected the Commission will receive the latest sales, use, and cigarette tax numbers. It was reported last week that the city’s sales tax intake for the month of December saw a significant boost when compared to a year ago, seeing a 19% increase by bringing in a little over $1.2 million.

The Commission will also receive a report from a representative with Western Technology Center regarding events occurring on the WTC Elk City campus.

Wednesday’s meeting is scheduled to take place at 2p.m. inside City Hall.
